Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline – Midwest & Mid-Continent Regions, United States
Providing corrosion control and system integrity services since 2003. Development of standards, procedures, forms and IMP documents. Provided project management oversight of ECDA Inspections. Assisted in the implementation of their Integrity Management Plan. ENE was also present and provided support for their jurisdictional IMP audit with PHMSA. Provided training to field personnel on their integrity management program. Performed a risk-based remote control valve study of their transmission system based on system pressures, size, MAOP, and %SMYS.
Vectren Energy – Upper Midwest, United States
An ongoing multi-year contract to provide Integrity Management Program support for both gas and liquid lines including: integrity management plan and procedure revisions, data gathering and research, MAOP origination studies and regulatory guidance. Performed a risk-based remote control valve study of their transmission system based on system pressures, size, MAOP, and %SMYS.
Nicor Gas – Illinois
Multi-year contract providing corrosion control, cathodic protection and integrity management services since 2002. Primary responsibilities are corrosion services and system integrity programming for Nicor’s transmission and underground storage system facilities. Other responsibilities include ECDA work; providing integrity management regulatory support; and cathodic protection design and troubleshooting on distribution system facilities.
DTE Energy Company – Michigan
Provided External Corrosion Direct Assessment project management support. This included project planning, technical guidance, data analysis and development of paperwork necessary for regulatory review. ENE also provided, as a part of this contract, project management for Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment. ENE developed company Direct Assessment procedures; reviewed and recommended changes of their existing Integrity Management Plan; and performed a risk-based remote control valve study of their transmission system based on system pressures, size, MAOP, and %SMYS.
Dominion Transmission – West Virginia
Develop a risk assessment framework and model to rank over 1000 drip tanks located along transmission lines and in storage fields. Project involved identifying critical factors contributing to internal corrosion and using commercially available software to generate a relative risk model for targeted inspection and effective use of capital.
Ameren Services Company – Illinois
Direct Assessment of excavated pipelines within their system. At the excavation site, ENE evaluated the condition of the pipe; obtained samples to determine the existence of MIC, pH of the soil, pH of water if present; condition of coating; wall loss if any; extent of any corrosion or damage; and the general condition of the pipe.
Illinois Power Company – Illinois
Interpretation of data analysis on the chemical characterization of fluid samples taken from their methane piping systems. The data was assessed for risk of internal corrosion, and recommendations were made for further monitoring.
Ameren Services Company – Illinois
Development of an internal corrosion testing plan for natural gas storage fields. ENE conducted a site audit and followed with the development of a monitoring plan.
United States Gypsum (USG) – United States
Providing system integrity support including: corrosion control and cathodic protection performance and quality audit. Developed standards, procedures, forms and IMP documents. Assisted in the implementation of their Integrity Management Plan. Performed an ECDA assessment. Provided complete support of all aspects of DOT 49 CFR Part 192. Developed and implemented an Operator Qualification program which included providing OQ training, and data management of their employee training records and recertification documentation.
Empire Pipeline - New York

Field survey and design of corrosion control and stray current mitigation for new 77 mile high pressure transmission pipeline. Work involved field survey including aggregation and evaluation of data highlighting suspected anomalies for client.

Enbridge Energy – United States and Canada
Multi-year contract to providing corrosion control engineering support and annual compliance survey services for all of Enbridge’s northern U.S. petroleum and natural gas transmission pipelines. Support includes: corrosion control and cathodic protection engineering, troubleshooting, repair, and design; construction and maintenance inspection services; corrosion procedures development and review; and specialty corrosion surveys.
We Energies – Wisconsin
Performed external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) for We Energies. The assessment included pre-assessment confirmation, indirect inspection including project management, and technical oversight and assistance with Direct Assessment.
Aux Sable Liquid Products – Midwest United States
An on-going multi-year contract to provide integrity management, corrosion and cathodic protection support. Provided Integrity Management Plan support including: plan facilitation; standards, procedures and forms development and review; development of IMP documents; and risk algorithm and risk modeling. Developed Operations and Maintenance Manual, Operator Qualification Manual, and Public Awareness Plan. Provided project management support and inspection services related to in-line inspection. Cathodic protection annual surveys, close-interval surveys and troubleshooting.
Mid American Energy – Iowa
Close interval, depth of cover and ECDA survey of 150 miles of pipeline located in rural and urban areas throughout Iowa.
MidAmerican Energy – Iowa
Provided engineering support and services for cathodic protection design and A/C mitigation along a 12.9 mile stretch of 16-inch natural gas pipeline. This work included: cathodic protection and A/C mitigation field survey, data analysis, cathodic protection design, and A/C mitigation and decoupling recommendations.
Bonneville Power – Montana
Performed cathodic protection assessment at their sub-station. Field work and testing included: soil sampling, soil resistivities, electrical grid corrosion assessment, and ground level atmospheric corrosion survey on above grade structures. The review also included a report with an overall summary of the cathodic protection system and recommendations.
Citgo-West Shore Pipeline – Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin
Provide corrosion control engineering support and direct assessment services for a multi-year contract. This includes: corrosion control and cathodic protection engineering and design; construction and maintenance inspection services; troubleshooting and repair of CP systems; specialty corrosion surveys; corrosion procedures development and review; and atmospheric surveys of above ground storage tanks and pipeline facilities.
Oklahoma Natural Gas – Oklahoma
Provided technical expertise and development of IMP support documents, preventative mitigation and response documents, and third-party review of company integrity management plans. Also performed evaluation of current data reporting process as it relates to IMP risk management data.
Tyson Foods – Kansas
Due diligence evaluation and assessment of inactive line prior to sale transfer. Work involved pre-assessment of existing records, CIS, DCVG survey and confirmation of identified anomalies, which resulted in a hydrotest of 10 miles of 8” pipeline.
We Energies – Wisconsin
Work with utility to trouble shoot and repair backlog of down reads. Project involved short locating and current requirement testing as well as identifying corrective actions for each location identified.
Integrys / Wisconsin Public Service – Wisconsin
Field survey and design of corrosion control and stray current mitigation for 56 miles of new high pressure transmission pipeline laterals from the main pipeline to WPS town border stations.
Valero/Premcor – Indiana
Performed interference testing on a 20” pipeline. Also evaluated the existing cathodic protection system to determine if a new system was required, including design and installation of the new system. Performed a close interval survey of the line to verify the new system was providing adequate protection.
Alvord, Burdick & Howson – Illinois
Performed a multi year contract to provide cathodic protection analysis and design for large diameter water pipeline transmission mains. The contract included corrosion control monitoring and testing including test point readings, continuity testing, Panhandle Eastern testing and close interval survey. Testing was performed after installation at 6 months and 12 months.
Enbridge – Ohio
Atmospheric corrosion evaluations were performed at 33 above grade locations on a 16” diameter pipeline. The purpose of the survey was to document locations that do not meet the federal requirements for atmospheric corrosion. Once found, evaluations were performed to identify, assess and document current conditions, based on risk rank.
Alliant Energy – Iowa
Evaluation and design of a cathodic protection system for a 5 mile long, 10” gas line sharing a right-of-way with high voltage power lines. Evaluation included soil resistivity analysis, identification of AC sources and their maximum operation capacity, and of existing cathodic protection rectifiers. A cathodic protection system was designed to adequately protect the line.
Alliant Energy – Iowa
Provided engineering support and services for an A/C mitigation study for a 13 mile stretch of 20” natural gas pipeline. This study included the field survey, data analysis, PRCI modeling and recommendations for mitigation and decoupling designs.
West Shore Pipeline – Illinois and Wisconsin
Atmospheric corrosion evaluations were performed at 30 above ground storage tanks. The purpose of the survey was to document locations that do not meet the federal requirements for atmospheric corrosion. Once found, evaluations were performed to identify, assess and document current conditions, based on risk rank.
Nicor Gas – Illinois
Performed atmospheric corrosion surveys at 3 under ground gas storage fields for a total of 411 surveys of above-grade facilities. The purpose of the survey was to document locations that do not meet the federal requirements for atmospheric corrosion. Once found, evaluations were performed to identify, assess and document current conditions, based on risk rank.
Laclede Gas Company – Missouri
Performed external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) for Laclede Gas Company, which is a natural gas utility.
Enbridge – Oklahoma
Atmospheric corrosion evaluations were performed at 93 above grade locations on a 10” diameter pipeline. The purpose of the survey was to document locations that do not meet the federal requirements for atmospheric corrosion. Valero/Premcor – Indiana
Performed stray current analysis from D.C. traction rail lines and provided recommendations to mitigate the D.C. on a 12” steel line. This included installation of a temporary bond with a foreign pipeline company.
GE Energy – Villahermosa, Mexico
Provided field and engineering assistance to Mexico’s oil company (PEMEX Company) for the completion of external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) and customized training services related to indirect inspection equipment for client’s personnel.
Valero/Premcor – Indiana
Performed a close interval survey on a 12” pipeline. Report included conclusions and recommendations.
